Every week I leave a new story out for you. That stays free, always, exactly as it has been: the story, the narration, all of it. Nothing in this letter changes that.

But some nights need the long version. The one that does not hurry.

So I made The Settle: the slow Sleepcasts.

Each one runs twenty to thirty minutes, and the story is told twice. The first telling is warm, the one you know. Then a soft chime, and it begins again, slower, the words further apart, the sea a little louder than I am. They are built to be slept through, not listened to. Nobody has ever been asked how one ends.
